Privacy Policy

Vehicle Cost Tools performs all calculations in your browser. Calculator inputs are never submitted to our server.

Data collection

Calculator inputs are processed locally and are not submitted to us. Our hosting provider may process ordinary request data, such as IP address, browser details, and requested pages, to deliver and protect the site.

Analytics and advertising

With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure visits and understand which calculators are useful. Analytics is not loaded until you select “Allow analytics.” We disable Google Signals and advertising-personalization signals in our site configuration. Google may process device, browser, approximate location, and usage information under its own privacy terms.

Consent choices

We use essential local storage to remember whether you allowed or declined analytics. You can change your selection at any time using the “Privacy choices” button in the footer. Choosing “Essential only” prevents our Google Analytics script from loading.

Advertising

We do not currently display advertising. If advertising is introduced, we will update this policy and consent controls before enabling it.

Third-party links

Our calculators link to external data sources (state DMV websites, Tax Foundation, etc.). We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites.
